Preferred Medical Ltd was established in 1995 to provide an independent medical insurance intermediary service for private individuals.
The business grew dramatically and provided independent advice on medical insurance, life and critical illness insurance, income protection insurance plus dental, travel and Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP's), all to individuals and companies of all sizes, both in the UK and overseas.
Preferred managed over 5,000 clients, or 25,000 lives, including a significant number of household named large corporate clients up until time of acquisition in June 2007 by Chase Templeton.
Chase Templeton Ltd was established in 1994 and currently manages over 28,000 clients and over 36,000 policies.

This unit provides independent advice on medical insurance for individuals and families. This dedicated team have years of experience in private medical insurance and pride themselves on delivering a first class personal service to clients without the use of industry jargon.
The team will take the time to understand the exact requirements of every client, asking relevant medical questions to ensure the right insurance product is recommended in every instance. A quotation based upon the whole-of-market is produced and each relevant insurer and product is explained in detail. We always ensure there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions and all will be answered in full before a final recommendation is made.
The majority of insurers will now accept applications "on-line" so individuals can be on cover within 10 minutes and benefit from peace of mind.
This unit provides independent advice on company medical insurance, life insurance and critical illness insurance, EAP's, dental and travel.
This dedicated team of insurance agents are extremely experienced in dealing with companies with 1 employee up to thousands, including some large household names.
In all instances the team will take the time to learn and understand the priorities of the company, which could be cost effective medical insurance cover for all staff or premium level insurance cover for directors. A full market review will be carried out to identify the most effective insurance provider and product and a full report will be produced detailing all recommendations.
The team will then work with the company on an on-going basis to manage insurance premiums, claims and other requirements necessary.
The company has an extensive nationwide network of self employed insurance consultants who deal in all aspects of insurance and have done for many years, including private medical insurance, buildings and contents insurance, commercial insurance, income protection, life and critical illness, mortgages, travel and dental insurance.
All consultants follow a standard sales process to ensure the consistency of professional standards to all clients, which fully adhere to the Financial Services Authority rules and regulations.

The Appointed Representatives provide advice on all areas of insurance and will provide best value for money in accordance with the client's specific requirements.
All Appointed Representatives follow the same procedures as our self employed consultants, but the entity for which they trade for is separately registered with the Financial Services Authority.
Chase Templeton provides extensive training to all Appointed Representatives and continues to monitor the professional development of all its advisors.
The members of this network predominately focus on private medical insurance for both individual and company clients. Members of this network are responsible for their compliance.
